Sundays at Tactile are Twiddlemuff day…
Tactile is making TwiddleMuffs and invites you to join.
Every Sunday from 12-2, in the shop, you can come, sit, relax and bring your knitting/crochet and join in the ongoing Twiddlemuff creation party..
“What is a TwiddleMuff”…?
A TwiddleMuff is a woollen muff, with twiddles attached inside and out, designed to provide a stimulation activity for the restless hands of disoriented or confused patients, particularly those with dementia.
When distributed at the hospital, they are labelled with the patient’s name to prevent any cross infection and patients will be able to take them home with them so there’s always a need for more.
So join us and we’ll make and Tactile will make sure our Twiddlemuffs get into the hands of those who need them most.
Full patterns will be provided – if you have any bits of yarn at home that need using up then do bring them and add them to the various bits we have. Here’s a look at the pattern for knitting; they can be crocheted too.
