Fascinator and Cocktail Hats Workshop with Louise Brooks

This lovely workshop will be another opportunity to complete a comprehensive introduction to the world of millinery. Each participant will have the chance to make their own unique fascinator or cocktail hat in a wide array of styles and colours.

You'll  learn traditional millinery techniques with a modern twist with which to create your special headwear. Each student will have the opportunity to enjoy the guidance of a professional milliner to help with which styles and colours suit you best.  All materials are provided.

Knitting – Cable Techniques with Lola Johnson

If Cables have long been one of those knitting want-to-know-hows (or you want a refresher) this workshop will show you how to read and understand a cable chart, how to cable without a cable needle and other cabling tricks. There will be lots of opportunities to practice.

SUN 11 JUNE 10AM-2PM

Yarn Dyeing & Hand Painting with Lola

Hand dyed yarn can be a riot of colour, offering something unique.  Yarn specialist Lola, of Third Vault Yarns will be returning to demonstrate some of the techniques used in hand dyeing and painting, bringing along examples and explanations.   You’ll then have the chance to practice hand-painting your own pieces leading into picking colours and dyeing a full skein for yourself.

Bring your apron and rubber gloves!  This is such a great workshop, I'm tempted to go on it again!

SAT 1 JULY 1-4PM

Knitting American Style Fair Isle with Sarah Hazell

In keeping with our American Food Festival on the same day, Sarah will guide you through some fair isle techniques, adapted to pay homage to native American patterning.   Sarah will be covering how to prevent yarns from tangling and two-handed fair isle technique.

One to enjoy and really learn/refresh skills from with a fabulous tutor.

Session cost: £45

Places will be booked on a first come basis.  Payment for workshops to be made on booking confirmation for your chosen workshop (bank details will be provided).
